Project creator: Callyn Cass (student)
Collaborators: Alexandra Wahlstorm and Ryan Kelley
Project type: Audio or Podcast
The main goal of the project was to create a short podcast that could be used as a tool for new parents, specifically those at the daycare center here at Trinity. Each podcast created by a different group was focused on a different topic, ours was digital technology. We highlighted the benefits and and drawbacks of introducing technology to a child at a very early age. Our podcast mimicked an interview with a “media expert” and a “child development researcher”. We started our project with the research we wanted to include and built the story around that, this way we knew it included all of the information we wanted to share. At this point I would consider the project basically finished. If given the opportunity, it may have been helpful to record the entire thing one more time just to improve the fluidity of the conversation and the sound quality, but overall I am happy with our final project.
